The tent city, which includes Namegans Nation, is facing eviction and was just informed that they are now able to stay at Greater Victoria’s Goldstream Provincial Park for a period of time.
Due to this news, many residents are angry and are making conflicts in order to push the homeless and vulnerable out of the park. There’s been reports of supposed stolen vehicles and drug use, but the tent city denied the accusations that were being pointed at them.
During their interviews, members of the homeless community were in distress due to the lack of support from everyone else in the community.  Though they have been threatened many times, they still remain peaceful and are relieved for the 2 week rest that they are able to take at the park.
